Immersa partnered with Oakes Energy to design, supply and commission a highly specialised system for ABB: a 900kWp ground-mounted solar array integrated with a 250kW / 553kWh battery energy storage system. The project demanded advanced hybrid-coupling and careful engineering to operate effectively on a site with strict export limitations.

Challenge

The site faced a significant DNO export restriction, meaning a traditional solar-only installation would not have delivered the required performance or commercial value.
